Thanks for stopping by the Abiding Image blog!!! Abiding Image is operated by me, Lynnette Coalson, along with my husband Larry. I'm a Wedding Photographer based out of San Diego but absolutely LOVE to travel for destination weddings, and would love to travel wherever in the world you're getting married. I've been blessed with being able to shoot in Oahu, Kauai, Texas, Mexico, Washington, Colorado, and Oregon, and I look forward to seeing many more places.

LA JOLLA COVE SUITES WEDDING | JOHN + LAUREN

This was a super fun crowd at a rooftop wedding I photographed at the La Jolla Cove Suites. It’s been a year since this wedding, but everytime I hear Soulja Boy’s song “Crank Dat” I still get flashbacks to this wedding. Why??? Because everyone…well not everyone…but a lot of people were synchronized dancing to it, and it was hilarious!!!

La Jolla Cove is one of my favorite places in San Diego. You have green grass, sandy beach, seals, squirrels running everywhere, sneaky seagulls, tidepools…and so much more. And at La Jolla Cove Suites, you have a lovely panoramic view of it all!

SAN DIEGO WILD ANIMAL PARK WEDDING

Isn’t this place breathtaking? It’s the San Diego Wild Animal Park!!!  Meerkats, gorillas, cheetahs, tigers, hedgehogs…what more could you ask for?   It’s a visually stunning location and its a place you and your guests will have fun at too!Something you’ll only see at a Wild Animal Park wedding! So cute!!!

CARLSBAD SHERATON WEDDING | JIM + OLIVIA

December 2, 2009 – 3:23 pm

Recently I shot a wedding at the immaculate Carlsbad Sheraton for Jim and Olivia..a super rockin’ couple.  Seriously they do rock!  Jim’s band Deadline Friday rocked it out at the reception along with a few other bands.  I loved it!!!

LANIKUHONUA WEDDING | OAHU WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

~ I LOVE LANI SPECIAL ~

Perhaps my favorite wedding photography location that I’ve seen but never photographed at is Oahu, Hawaii at the GORGEOUS Lanikuhonua, translated “where Heaven meets the Earth”. Don’t you just love the name? Lanikuhonua…it just rolls off the tongue…if you can pronounce it without stuttering (:

Lanikuhonua is nestled on the Leeward Coastline of Oahu and is right next door to my favorite luau in Hawaii…the Paradise Cove Luau.  This amazing beach front wedding location is also covered with an array of coconut trees.  As past clients of mine know…I LOVE palm trees!!!  If I was to get married on the island, Lanikuhonua would be it!!! 

So in lieu of all this… I’m extending an I LOVE LANI special to couple who are planning a Lanikuhonua wedding!!!

LEVYLAND WEDDING | DREW+DANIKA

Thought I’d post another flashback wedding at one of my favorite San Diego locations…Levyland!!!  Levyland is a private estate located at Carlsbad beach.  If you’re planning a San Diego beach wedding, but want a spot that’s more private and intimate than a beach resort or hotel, then Levyland is a great wedding location.  It’s private, relaxing, is steps away from the lagoon and remote beach, and has some rockin’ architecture!

LUANA HILLS COUNTRY CLUB WEDDING | OAHU WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

It’s been awhile since I photographed a wedding in Hawaii, and I’m itchin’ to go back!!! I LOVE to travel…especially to the islands, so if anyone is planning a Hawaii beach wedding…or any Hawaii wedding for that matter…count me in!!!

SD MARRIOTT MISSION VALLEY WEDDING | ABIGAIL+ROLANDO

I knew Abby WAAAAAAY back in the days in high school when she and Rolando first started dating. HaHa!!! Back then we were “kickin’ it” in our baggy jeans and dark dark red lipstick. Good ol’ high school memories!  Who knew years later I’d be doing their wedding photography?

The day started off with prep shots at the Mission Valley Marriott in San Diego, followed by their ceremony at Good Shepherd Church, fun portraits at Presidio Park, then back down to the Mission Valley Marriott for a very entertaining reception.  Check it out!

Some cute kid moments…Okay seriously this has got to be my largest group of groomsmen that I’ve shot…14 guys!!!

SAN DIEGO WEDDING | PEARL RESTAURANT | WILL+KAREN

Karen and Will are two super super sweet people who I recently photographed. They were married at the First Baptist Church of San Diego and had their banquet at Pearl Chinese Cuisine in Rancho Bernardo. Seriously though… I don’t think I’ve ever photographed so much laughter at a single wedding!!! If you’ve never been to a chinese wedding before, they are loooong…and FUN!

The day starts off early with the bride getting ready…followed by the arrival of the GUYS……who aren’t allowed to enter the house until they play a list of games that the girls prepare…A whole lot of pointing going on in a span of a minute…

my baby boy!

it’s been 5.5 months and motherhood just keeps getting better and better! i love love love him so stinkin’ much!!! i know i’ve been bad at posting pictures of jaydon, but after receiving several requests for pictures and updates, here are some pictures of my little boy.
