SAN DIEGO NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM WEDDING | nicole + andrew

I love museum weddings!

Once again I got to shoot this last wedding with good friend Daisy Varley for Nicole and Andrew’s San Diego Natural History Museum rooftop wedding at Balboa Park.

 Confession … funny thing is I was actually blind shooting this wedding.  What?  A blind photographer?  Somehow…yeah…it worked…thank GOD!  Long story short, I can’t see through my right eye at the moment due to an inflammation in my cornea.  Not to worry…it’s only supposed to last for a couple of weeks.  But my right eye is my main shooting eye, so everytime I’d look through the viewfinder of my camera, I COULDN’T SEE A THING!!!!  YIKES!!!!  I could see the peripherals of my vision in my right eye, but nothing in the center, so needless to say there was A LOT of guesswork involved.

The San Diego Natural History Museum is located in Balboa Park and is a wonderful wedding location for all you dinosaur fans.  Museums are always an exciting place to get married because you and your guests get free access to the museum’s many exhibits. Plus, at the San Diego Natural History Museum, you can make it a rooftop wedding and get a beautiful panoramic view of Balboa Park.

SAINT MALO BEACH WEDDING

Ever been to Saint Malo Beach in Oceanside?  It’s home to a gated community like I’ve never seen before…it’s like living in Disneyland!  The houses were all immaculate, the streets looked clean enough to eat off of, and the landscape was perfectly cared for.  It was easy to envision myself being on a European vacay….being that St. Malo Beach was modeled after a French village…or walking through Fantasyland at Disneyland.  Even their wedding coordinator kept mentioning how she felt like a Disney princess just being there (: 

Anyways…moving on…last weekend I got to shoot with my wonderful friend Daisy Varley for Jacqueline and James’ St. Malo Beach wedding.  Beautiful setting, beautiful people, beautiful decorations, beautiful everything…My partner in crime being sneaky sneaky…Don’t mind the little boy on the bike…

The Rock Church | Impact 195

I know I know….I’ve been lil’ miss non-exsistent blogger lately!  What have I been up to???  Being a mommy and enjoying my days with my son!  Being a wife and helping him with this business LC Tree Trimming.  And last but definitely not least, being a child of GOD and learning more about HIM.  A few months ago Larry and I joined the Rock Church family to serve with Impact195, which is their new discipleship program designed to inspire and empower you to do something with your life for GOD’s glory.  To sum it up… there are 195 countries in the world and our goal is to make an impact on all 195 countries…hence the name Impact195 (:  The upcoming quarter starts up next week and the staff is already in the works of planning a trip for the students to serve at Haiti.  It’ll be such an exciting time and a great opportunity to really help those in need.

HIP HOP WEDDING | ROCK STEADY MINISTRIES | J + J

Now what can I say about Jason and Jadah’s wedding at Coronado Beach?  Jason is a very very dear friend of mine and has one of the most unique personalities I’ve ever met.  He’s goofy, fun, loud…at times obnoxious…but that’s still one of the things I love about him.  He’s a lover of hip hop and dances any- and everywhere, is so on fire for the LORD, and is so in love with this new wife Jadah.  These two are so perfect for each other!  And they are the most bomb dancing couple that I’ve seen.  They actually met through dancing with Rock Steady Ministries, which Jason helps lead up at the Rock Church along with choreographer Brandon Henschel…who is seriously one of the best dancers I have ever seen!!! 

So I wasn’t the official photographer at their wedding, but I thought I’d take a some portraits of them as a gift.  Anyways, you have to check out their hip hop first dance video at the bottom.  As you can tell by the video, this wedding was a PARTAY!!!

RANCHO BERNARDO INN WEDDING | RB INN

I posted teaser photos of Jonathon and Nikki’s wedding a few weeks back but just now have gotten a chance to post more pictures. These two are my Edward + Bella couple. Jonathon has a little bit of an Edward look to him, while Nikki’s a redhead like Bella. Anyways…they’re a gorgeous supermodel couple (:

They were married at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. I always love photographing RB Inn weddings! Gardens, water fountains, an abundance of trees, ivy laced walls…and a great staff (:

LA JOLLA COVE SUITES WEDDING | JOHN + LAUREN

This was a super fun crowd at a rooftop wedding I photographed at the La Jolla Cove Suites. It’s been a year since this wedding, but everytime I hear Soulja Boy’s song “Crank Dat” I still get flashbacks to this wedding. Why??? Because everyone…well not everyone…but a lot of people were synchronized dancing to it, and it was hilarious!!!

La Jolla Cove is one of my favorite places in San Diego. You have green grass, sandy beach, seals, squirrels running everywhere, sneaky seagulls, tidepools…and so much more. And at La Jolla Cove Suites, you have a lovely panoramic view of it all!

SAN DIEGO WILD ANIMAL PARK WEDDING

Isn’t this place breathtaking? It’s the San Diego Wild Animal Park!!!  Meerkats, gorillas, cheetahs, tigers, hedgehogs…what more could you ask for?   It’s a visually stunning location and its a place you and your guests will have fun at too!Something you’ll only see at a Wild Animal Park wedding! So cute!!!

CARLSBAD SHERATON WEDDING | JIM + OLIVIA

Recently I shot a wedding at the immaculate Carlsbad Sheraton for Jim and Olivia..a super rockin’ couple.  Seriously they do rock!  Jim’s band Deadline Friday rocked it out at the reception along with a few other bands.  I loved it!!!

LANIKUHONUA WEDDING | OAHU WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Perhaps my favorite wedding photography location that I’ve seen but never photographed at is Oahu, Hawaii at the GORGEOUS Lanikuhonua, translated “where Heaven meets the Earth”. Don’t you just love the name? Lanikuhonua…it just rolls off the tongue…if you can pronounce it without stuttering (:

Lanikuhonua is nestled on the Leeward Coastline of Oahu and is right next door to my favorite luau in Hawaii…the Paradise Cove Luau.  This amazing beach front wedding location is also covered with an array of coconut trees.  As past clients of mine know…I LOVE palm trees!!!  If I was to get married on the island, Lanikuhonua would be it!!! 

So in lieu of all this…I can’t wait to photograph my first wedding there!!!  For couples who are planning a Lanikuhonua wedding, I’m extending an I LOVE LANI special!!!
