SAN DIEGO FAIR 2010

Sorry I haven’ t been blogging too much lately.  With work, being a mommy and wife, spending quality time with family, friends, and the LORD…there just aren’t enough hours in the day.  But thought I’d share some family photos from our trip to the San Diego Fair this week…which was also Jaydon’s first trip.  I LOVE the fair!!!  I look forward to it every year.  Deep-fried butter?!!!  Say wha?!!!!!   No thank you!!!  So I guess this is suppose to be a chicken…hmmm…

Yay!!!! Jaydon is one!!!! I thank GOD so much for this past year with my baby boy!!! SOOOOO thankful!!!
It took some talking into, but I succumbed and let Jaydon have his first bite of sugar at his birthday party this past weekend. At least it was organic cane sugar /:

SUPERSTITION DESERT TRIP

We took a fun trip to Superstition Desert last weekend with family and friends…. Daisy Varley and her famila. Dirtbikes, quads, rhinos, bike crashing, two little babies trying to eat pebbles, getting lost in the middle of nowhere…FUN!

A DAY AT THE PARK

*sigh* I love this warm sunny weather that we’re having in San Diego!!! The Coalson trio decided to enjoy some family time together at Liberty Station Park.  As you can tell…Jaydon had a BLAST!!!

HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF | find our how you can help

My heart goes out to those who lost their loved ones in the tragic Haiti earthquake.  I can’t imagine how devasting it is to lose your child, your husband, wife, mom, dad, friend, or just anyone you care about.  If you haven’t already helped in the Haiti Relief, then I encourage you to support one or more of the organizations that are already on full force to assist the people of Haiti.

Here’s a short list of some of the Haiti Earthquak Relief organizations you can support.

* SAVE THE CHILDREN

* THE AMERICAN RED CROSS

* UNICEF

* DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS

An easy way to help it to text “HAITI” to 90999 to donate $10 to Red Cross relief efforts
or
text “YELE” to 501501 to donate $5 to Yele Haiti’s Earthquake Relief efforts.

Pray for GOD’s comfort over the hurting, for HIS guidance and provision over the medical teams and all those who are aiding in the relief efforts, and for those who are still missing loved ones after the earthquake to be reunited.

i love the holidays!

I love Christmas!!!  SOOO much!!!  It’s great to have a holiday to reflect on GOD’s love for us!  HE loved us so much that HE sent HIS only Son to redeem us!  So hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a great time celebrating the new year!

I’ve been slacking in the blog department …you know how the holiday season gets… but here are a few picture updates on what’s been going on with the Coalsons.

more pictures of lil’ jaydon

say hello to our new addition!!!

so after more than 41 weeks of pregnancy and 42 grueling hours of labor, lil’ jaydon coalson is FINALLY here!!!! born one week ago (4.28.09)…6lbs 8oz…20 inches long! i’m still so amazed!!! everyday people have been texting, emailing, and calling to see pictures, and i know it’s been a week…but hey…i just gave birth…and i’m functioning on 4 hours of sleep a night. but here are a handful to start you off. you can be sure there will be tons more to come…
a little dr. evil action for you…

if you’re preggo or thinking about having a baby, i STRONGLY recommend watching the film “the business of being born“.

at the start of my pregnancy i wasn’t sure how i wanted to give birth. thought i’d take the typical hospital route…actually i wanted to give birth in the hospital because i had never stayed in a hospital before and thought this would finally be my chance (i know…wierd). but i watched this film, and it totally changed my mind.  i decided to go the au natural route, and even though it was the HARDEST and most PAINFUL thing i had EVER been through, in the end….i’m so glad i did it that way.  nothing beats the natural oxytocin rush that you feel when you give birth naturally and you finally hold your baby in your arms after such a long journey.

jaydon was born at best start birth center, which is just the most FABULOUS place to give birth in san diego!!!  i loved my experience there!!!  all the midwives are just the coolest and most down-to-earth people to have shared this journey with!  HUGE THANKS to jude, roberta, ruth, and carlee…who were all with me throughout my labor.  haha…my labor was so long i went through 3 different on-call midwife shifts.
