THE FLOWER FARM WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY | SACRAMENTO

I love many things about being a wedding photographer, but one of my favorites is getting to travel!!!  It’s been awhile since I’ve done a destination wedding, but last month Daisy Varley and I got to fly to Sacramento.   Good ol’ Sactown!  FUN FUN FUN…and HOT HOT HOT!

Wedding destination = The Flower Farm in Loomis, California for Rachel and Chris’ barnyard wedding.

At The Flower Farm, we were openly greeted by scorching heat!  I mean SCORCHING!  You know its hot when you’re dripping sweat in the shade /:
The Flower Farm is a great location for a country barnyard wedding. Besides being filled with flowers, of course, you have chicken…lots of chicken…which is funny because Rachel was scared of chicken.  There’s also a barn…which is always great for photos, ADORABLE cottages, and just a nice country feel.

“YAY!!!  I’M GETTING MARRIED!!!”Rachel was a natural.  She wasn’t posing…she was just waiting around.

I always have a great time shooting weddings with Daisy, so getting to travel a to a new city, and being rewarded with a nice time of lounging by the pool the next day was a sweet reward! You can check out Daisy’s images also for this Flower Farm country wedding at her blog.

ISLAND PALMS RESORT WEDDING | randy + nikki

During weddings, one of my favorite things is seeing how couples relax and transform when they’re finally together.  Before the ceremony, it’s stress and sometimes chaos, but when the bride and groom finally see each other, nothing else matters except the fact that they’re with their best friend and lover.  Not that Nikki and Randy were over the top stressed before they saw each other, but it was so cool to see how when they were together they couldn’t stop laughing!  I don’t think I’ve been with another couple who’ve laughed THAT much…and don’t get me wrong…I get some really goofy couples!

The Island Palms Resort is located at San Diego’s Shelter Island.  This wedding venue is a beautiful location for a waterfront wedding.  There are two wedding gardens to choose from for your ceremony that are backdropped by the marina filled with countless yachts and boats.  Being called Island PALMS…of course you’re surrounded by palm trees for a nice tropical feel to your wedding.  I love any location that can make me feel like I’m back in Hawaii (:  So if you’re dreaming of a waterfront tropical wedding in San Diego that won’t kill your budget, you should definitely check out the Island Palms Resort at Shelter Island.
